A Chiptune Galaxy features original chiptune (8-bit) compositions that were imagined and created as background music to space and planetary exploration video games. Often, they depict a lone astronaut's journey on strange new worlds, full of beauty, danger and mysteries. François is giving away these 12 chiptune music tracks for FREE to game developers to use in their video games. These are well-suited for sci-fi and space video games that may want a retro-vibe and/or use pixel art.
Kitsune Warrior

The most amusing music in video game history is arguably the soundtracks to various titles of platformer franchises like Super Mario Brothers and Kirby. Kitsune Warrior is an homage to that musical genre, and features fun bouncy music depicting various platformer levels such as meadows, mountains, underwater and even space!
Wandering Fantasia is a joint effort between François and game developer and composer HydroGene. The music is inspired by role-playing and adventure video games for the SNES. It depicts different environments that a band of heroes may encounter during their travels.

Project Z

This is the music for an upcoming indie video game. It is set in a fantasy world and is inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. The soundtrack will feature over thirty tracks, inspired by traditional fantasy video game music with a taste of alternative rock. Stay tuned for more details about this game.

A Snessian Adventure is a collection of original compositions, in the tradition of 1990s JRPGs and adventure video games, using the chipsynth SFC virtual instrument that emulates SNES sounds. It mostly depicts environments like various dungeons and wilderness areas.
Dungeon Delivered! is the official soundtrack to the mobile game of the same name by indie developer Smithy Games. It features chiptune (8-bit) music that depicts comically evil characters and levels. In this puzzle game, you play a minion that is delivering food, or rather heroes, to dungeon overlords!
8-bit Robotics features 14 original compositions in chiptune (8-bit) music that depict levels, menus and boss battles reminiscent of 1980s NES games like Mega Man.
The Start of a Long Journey features 16 original compositions depicting characters, places, adventures and tales. The music is inspired by video games of the 1990s, particularly JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. This collection is imagined in four acts : Act I: A team of unlikely heroes sets out to sea on their quest. Act II: They visit the castle and the main character falls in love. Each track is inspired by classic tropes early games, such as the town, the castle, the cave, the dungeon and even the battles.
