What’s Going On?
I’m very blessed to have the time and opportunity to make music while working a full-time job and living a fulfilling family life. In the past two months, I’ve completed work on A Snessian Adventure, a collection of original compositions inspired by JRPGs and adventure video games from the 1990s. I also got commissioned to write battle music and provide tracks from A Chiptune Fantasy for the upcoming video game Gorgon Shield. In February, I released my fourth album, I extended my sound libraries by purchasing Kontakt 7 (listen to this gorgeous choir sound in this short sample I made), I took a composition class and I fell in love with the podcast Top Score. Finally, I added a section on my website to showcase the music I have already composed for actual video games (please visit!).
Album Release: Dungeon Delivered!
Dungeon Delivered! has been out since February 15th 2024. It features 14 original compositions that I wrote for the upcoming video game of the same name by indie developer Smithy Games. The music depicts comically evil characters and levels. In this puzzle game, you play a minion that is delivering food, or rather heroes, to dungeon overlords! Find out more about the game and listen to the soundtrack on the streaming service of your choice.
Exclusive Content for Subscribers
Thank you for your support! As always, I want to share exclusive content with you as a gesture of my appreciation. Enjoy Outer World Outpost, an original composition with a sci-fi vibe and SNES sounds.
Guitar News
February was an intense month for classical guitar in Ottawa. I gave a solo performance, took part in a masterclass and performed with a large guitar orchestra during the Guitar Alla Grande Festival. I’m preparing an in-person recital for June 8th and a virtual one for June 9th, during which I will be playing covers from various video games like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and even Diablo on classical guitar! I’m also writing an arrangement of Skyport for four guitars that will be performed this summer by a guitar orchestra. Hopefully I get a video of that to share with you! Lastly, I’m working on repertoire with a trio for upcoming performances.
What next?
As you can tell, there’s definitely no shortage of projects to work on! Right now, I’m composing the music for a video game my close friend is developing. In the next few months, I’ll be releasing my fifth album, A Snessian Adventure. I was also hired to write the music to an upcoming RPG by Whiskeybarrel Studios, and I still have dozens of hours of exploration into the sounds of Kontakt 7 and my new Korg Minilogue XD. Keep in touch, visit my YouTube channel, and stay healthy!
