What’s Been Going On?
When I Grow Up, I Want to be a Video Game Composer... How has your summer been? For me, the summer months have been very fruitful. I was able to complete and publish an album, Wandering Fantasia, with my collaborator HydroGene, I attended the Camp musical du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean for a week to study classical guitar and I conducted my very own composition Skyport with the guitar orchestra of the camp. Also, at the end of August, the video game Gorgon Shield came out on Steam and it featured five of my chiptune compositions!
Kitsune Warrior
For the last month or so, I’ve been working on a new collection of chiptune (8-bit) compositions that are inspired by the fun family-friendly platformer video games of the 1980s and 1990s like Super Mario Bros. and Kirby’s Dream Land. Kitsune Warrior, which is almost done, features 20 tracks that are designed for the various environments (mountains, forests, clouds, etc.) that you would typically find in that kind of video game. Listen to my favorite tracks : Lupine Abduction, Clockwork Castle and Blizzard Bound.
Exclusive Content For Subscribers
When I wrote the music for the Kitsune Warrior collection, I had brainstormed a few more ideas that were eventually discarded. However, dear subscriber, I decided to finish this one track, Tunnel Tumble, just for you. Enjoy the little fox's adventure down the mine shaft and along the tunnels filled with gemstones.
